Abstract

Resonant transmission and localization of energy in 1D disordered systems are studied. An analytical algorithm is developed for the quantitative description of the spatial energy distribution in random samples using the total length of the sample and the localization length as the fitting parameters. An inverse scattering problem is discussed.
