Abstract
A simple method of calculation is developed by describing the surface scattering of conduction electrons by the effective rate of surface scattering, which is essentially dependent on the state of electrons. Results are given for the magnetoresistance of films and wires of an isotropic metal with a quadratic law of electron dispersion. The influence of the angular dependence of the probability of surface electron scattering on the process is analyzed.
