On the random coding error exponents of the single-user and the multiple-access Gel'fand-Pinsker channels

Abstract

A random coding scheme based on binning principle was discussed. In this method a maximum mutual information decoder was used. The scheme for two-user multiple access channel was a generalization of the single user's scheme with several differences. The error exponent of the scheme yielded a lower bound on the reliability function.
