Abstract
Performance of DS-CDMA Cell-Site to Mobile communication link is evaluated, for several combining techniques at the receiver. Transmission over the time variant multipath fading channel is treated as a link with a random number of diversity receptions. Performance of coded systems with soft decision decoding is investigated, with and without Channel State Information about the fading. Robustness of the proposed techniques for a different interference model is examined by simulation.
