Abstract

An object-oriented toolkit was designed for traffic control in multimedia communications. Several protocols and schemes were used in the proposed toolkit: the resource reservation architecture; bandwidth regulation; delay based priority scheduling; and connection establish protocol. The toolkit was designed following some clearly defined principles: implementation oriented modeling; flexible user interface; and easy extendibility.
