Abstract

Incompressible turbulent flow in a rectangular duct is considered. The Reynolds stress equations are used, with wall function on the boundary. The governing equations are parabolized to allow marching along the duct. Mesh staggering and ADI like splitting are used to obtain a stable yet inexpensive solution. The results show good agreement with experiments. (A)
