Systemic lupus erythematosus is an autoimmune disease that can affect any organ system, mostly central and peripheral nervous system, lungs, heart, kidneys, skin, serous membranes, and components of blood. Lupus is effect. The clinical effects can progress rapidly to respiratory arrest and death. We provide a description of a case of GHB poisoning, with a comprehensive review of the literature emphasizing the pharmacodynamics, clinical effect, and suggestions for management.
