Abstract
The molecular weight dependence of the viscosity of low-salt, dilute polyelectrolyte solutions has been measured using fully sulphonated sodium neutralized polystyrene. The reduced viscosity was observed to increase linearly with the molecular weight, in agreement with recent theoretical predictions.
