Abstract

Virtual maintenance has emerged as one such technology attaining maturity and gaining acceptance in industry. The key contribution of this is to reduce the design cost and cycle. Currently, virtual maintenance verification focuses on these statical qualitative contents, and there is a big gap between virtual maintenance simulation t ime and actual maintenance time. This paper divides those causes for the gap into three parts, including integrity, determinacy and verisimilitude. A new virtual maintenance time measurement based on DELMIA has been raised aiming at reducing the effects of the verisimilitude causes. And qualitative and quantitative analysis has been combined together to improve products' maintainability design.
