abstract = "As availability of HFS is a basic indicator to measure the degree of usability, optimal maintenance strategy with maximum availability and cost constraints can provide a better platform for HFS scheduling. So this paper proposes a Semi-Markov Process (SMP) based availability model here focused on general maintenance strategy with machines' life time distribution and maintenance time distribution. Then the maintainability parameters optimization method with total cost constrains is achieved based on the availability model. Furthermore, the proposed optimization method is applied to a two-stage HFS and showed to be effective.",
