Abstract

The resistivity and transverse magnetoresistance properties of recently discovered magnetic Weyl semimetal Co3Sn2S2 is studied. Co3Sn2S2 is synthesized using solid state reaction technique and crystallizes in trigonal structure with space group R-3m(166). The temperature dependent resistivity increases with the application of magnetic field and resistivity plateau is observed at low temperatures. A highest MR ∼215% at 2K and 6T is observed with no signs of saturation. We find MR deviation from Kohler's rule and non-linearity of magnetoresistance with magnetic field is assigned to multiband effect.
