Abstract

The low transmission power and very large bandwidth used by Ultra-Wide band (UWB) radio systems ,enables them co-exist with other narrow-band systems overthe same frequency band without interfering the narrow-band systems. Nevertheless, the interference caused by these narrow-band systems may jam the UWB receiver. Existing narrow-band interference suppression methods for spread spectrum systems are either not applicable for UWB systems, or the complexity of these methods prohibits their use. This paper presents novel low complexity narrow band interference suppression algorithm for UWB radio systems. Theoretical analysis of the algorithm reveal that it can achieve very good narrow-band interference suppression with low-complexity receiver
