Abstract

Logarithmic-harmonic-filter (LHF) is useful for performing optical projection invariant pattern recognition. A method for improving the quality of the correlation peak is proposed, based on better determining of the harmonic expansion center and the order of the LH development. A searching procedure that takes into account the correlation peak energy and width is suggested proved and simulated by computer.
