Abstract

Using the nuclear resonant scattering of photons from several (n,γ) reactions, bound nuclear levels in 141Pr were studied. Five resonant levels, at energies 6111, 6115, 7188, 7256 and 8883 keV, were excited, and the results obtained in their de-excitation are presented. On the basis of the angular distribution of the scattered γ-rays the following spin assignments were made for three of the excited levels in 141Pr: 1457.9 ( 5 2), 6115 ( 7 2) and 7188 ( 5 2). The total radiation width of the 6115 keV resonant level was measured and found to be 52 ± 10 meV.
