Abstract

This article is divided in three parts: 1. an introduction dedicated to general problems concerning Judeo-Italian and to a brief description of its written sources; 2. a grammatical sketch; and 3. an anthology, representing three sources discussed in the first part: a 13th century Elegy for the 9th of Av, translations of the Siddur from the 15th –17th centuthries, and an excerpt of a 16th century sermon, accompanied by morpheme-by-morpheme glossing.
