Abstract

This paper introduces the group theory and the isomorphism concept in order to demonstrate how to bypass and simplify scientific difficulties using those tools. The isomorphism relationship which is being investigated by this paper is the one existing between the Wigner distribution function and the canonical ABCD integral transformation.
