Abstract

A numerical simulation has been carried out on the interpolation of a signal with a finite Fourier spectrum (i.e., on the Fourier spectra of finite signals) by a method which has been proposed previously by one of the authors and which is based on a simple formula for interpolating analytic functions of the Wiener class. This method can be used to eliminate a noise which is concentrated in a specific frequency band and, where necessary, to invert a Radon transformation on the basis of incomplete data, in computed tomography and other situations.
