Abstract
It is shown that the N = ∞ phase diagram of latticized (ϕ2)33 with only nearest-neighbor interactions has the same structure as the N = ∞ phase diagram of (ϕ2)3+ɛ3 with a sharp momentum cutoff. Therefore the simplest lattice action does not exhibit the BMB phenomenon. More complicated actions might.
