Abstract
Mild and efficient procedures employing inexpensive reagents (imidazole or trifluoroethanol) for the removal of excess (BOC)2O, usually used during NH or OH protection at room temperature, are described. The use of polymer-based DMAP with or without TFE was also found to be attractive.
