From Concept to Enterprise

Bar-Ilan University is a unique phenomenon in the academic scene in Israel and abroad. The university was established by the religious Zionist movement as a ``religious`` institution. The sections of this work shed light on the nature of Bar-Ilan University. In the first volume, the historical and ideological aspects of the institution are examined and the establishment of the different departments is traced. The second volume includes the academic methodologies of the university`s founders and first teachers. The book provides a rich source of the history of religious Zionism and higher education in Israel.
