N2 - Fracture resistant structures based on topological interlocking with non-planar contacts were discussed. The results of indentation tests on a plate-like assembly of such blocks were presented. The principle of topological interlocking offered a possibility of going down to micro or nanostructured layers once a suitable manufacturing technology was found.
