Abstract

The absence of an anomaly in the linewidth temperature dependence of the Eu3+ 5D07F1 emission lines near Tc is explained by the small contribution of the low q soft modes to the effective velocity of sound. The rapid migration model is used to calculate the Tb3+ (donor) - Eu3+ (acceptor) dipol-dipole interaction parameters in the 45-250K temperature range from the time decay curves of the 5D4 manifold emissions of Tb3+.
