Abstract
Mesoscopic fluctuations of the dipole moment and the polarizability of thin disordered films are theoretically studied. The temperature and magnetic-field dependence of those quantities are described. For systems where the electron density is relatively low (such as for semiconductors), measurement of these fluctuations is well within current experimental capabilities.
