Abstract
Neurofibromatosis (NF), an autosomal dominant inherited disorder affecting multiple organ systems, is rare among pregnant women. NF in pregnancy has been reported to be complicated by maternal hypertension, fetal intrauterine growth retardation and fetal wastage. A case of pregnancy associated with neurofibromatosis, complicated by pregnancy aggravated chronic hypertension, assymetric intrauterine growth tetardation and fetal hydrocephalus is described. Possible interrelations between those pathologies are discussed.
