Abstract
Estimation of urinary cyclic AMP (cAMP) excretion is used as an indirect index of parathyroid function and calcium homeostasis. Proper evaluation of the method in the young requires determination of the normal range in children of different age groups. An investigation was carried out, particularly in Israel where the sunny climate affects vitamin D and calcium metabolism.
