Abstract
Let Q be a polynomial with real coefficients on R such that convolution by exp(iQ) defines a bounded operator H on Lp for some p (1 < p < ∞). Then the perturbations M + cH are similar to M on Lp, where M is the multiplication by x operator with maximal domain.
