Abstract

The authors wish to note the following: “An error in collecting statistics for simulations presented in the original work has been found. The mRNA and protein number distributions for the system described in the work were erroneously collected after a finite number of reactions took place instead of collecting statistics after a finite amount of simulation time. Consequentially, Fig. 2 and Fig. 6 appeared incorrectly. The resulting distributions exhibit a more partial universal collapse than shown in the original text. The error made and the corrected results do not impact any of the other results presented. The authors thank Itai Meullam for helping to identify this problem.” The corrected Fig. 2 and Fig. 6 appear below with their respective legends. (Figure Presented).
