N2 - Oellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) is a wireless digital packet service which utilizes excess bandwidth from the analog cellular system, Advanced Mobile Phone System (AMPS). Like any other wireless network, CDPD may be attacked by adversaries who desire free and perhaps anonymous access to the network. These adversaries often use the air link as a point of penetration to perform undetectable eavesdropping and intrusion attacks. Moreover, CDPD, unlike other wireless networks, is designed to be connected to other public and private networks; this may potentially provide for more avenues of attacks.
