Abstract
We show that the oxygen content of YBa2Cu3O7−x can be reduce at room temperature by using electrochemical techniques. The products have been characterized by x-ray powder diffraction, electrical resistivity, and magnetic susceptibility. The reduced material shows a broadened transition to the superconducting state.
