Abstract
The single-phase high-Tc superconductors YBa2Cu3O7-xSx and YBa2Cu3(1-y)Fe3yO7 have been prepared and studied by dc magnetometry. YBa2Cu3O6S has a larger unit cell than YBa2Cu3O7, and yet has the same Tc; its phase transition is sharper and displays full Meissner effect. Substitution of Cu by Fe leads to a sharp decrease in Tc.
