Abstract

An analysis of the contribution of normal electron-electron scattering to the anomalous surface impedance is presented. It is shown that in addition to the negative Black-Mills term, there also exists a large positive term due to the Knudsen effect. The authors find that the sum of the two terms is positive and in good agreement with the recent data of Love et al. (1982) on the anomalous surface impedance of Cu and Al.
