Abstract

The complex [Cp*RhCl2]2 reacts with NAD+ to give [Cp+Rh(NAD+)Cl]+ with rhodium(III) bonded to the adenine ring. The metalbonded cofactor is accepted by two dehydrogenases. Similar reactions with NADH afford NAD+ and RhI compounds.
