Abstract
Social housing policy can broadly be defined as a policy regarding the housing of people based upon some social value. This introduction briefly discusses six dimensions that emerge from the articles in this issue which discuss aspects of housing policy in seven countries around the world. These dimensions are: extent to which a social housing policy exists; the goals of government intervention and policy; the target populations of the policy; the form of government intervention; the context within which the policy operates; and the broader implications of the policy. -Authors
