Abstract

Electrophoretic technique has been used for the study of FeIII, CuII, NiII, CoII-methionine binary and Fe III, CuII, NiII, CoII-methionine-NTA (nitrilotriacetic acid) ternary complexes. The stability constants of metal-methionine binary complexes are found to be 106.03, 10 5.23, 105.13, 104.23 and the stability constants of metal-methionine-NTA ternary complexes have been found to be 106.35, 106.04, 105.87, 105.80 for FeIII, CuII, NiII and CoII complexes respectively at μ = 0.1 M (HClO4) and 25°C.
