Creating a playbook for IHE scheduled workflow operations

The creation of a site-specific imaging playbook is a necessary step for future Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Scheduled Workflow implementation. In addition to being a prerequisite for realizing the benefits of successful IHE workflow improvements, the exercise of creating the playbook allows for re-examination of the workflow processes of both the providers ordering studies and workflow processes of both the providers ordering studies and the staff of the radiology department in satisfying these orders.
