Abstract

Imaging through a highly random, multiply scattering optical barrier is considered theoretically, and fundamental limits on information transfer through the barrier are discussed. It is shown that using correlation techniques, it becomes possible to obtain a high-resolution paraxial image of objects lying behind the barrier. Other ways of penetrating the barrier are also briefly considered.
