Abstract

The interaction of conduction electrons with the impurity atom lattice on a metal surface is investigated. The lattice is suppossed to be short‐range ordered and long‐range disordered. It is proved that the electron reflection from the surface can be described in terms of the linear boundary conditions and the scattering probabilities employed in this condition are calculated. If the correlation length of the lattice is large enough, the surface scattering is analogous to multichannel specular reflection.
