    Abstract

    A computer based open ended courseware has been developed for teaching humanities. The courseware is based on the enquiry approach according to which the learner is directed to problem solving behavior which includes thosevariables which characterize the teaching style especially suited to the humanities. Thus suitable computer courseware may increase effectiveness in the study of humanities through the medium of information technology (IT).
