Abstract

β‐Elimination with cleavage of an ether bond has been observed in studies with the title compound. The rate constant for this reaction (4.6 × 10³ M⁻¹ s⁻¹) is similar to that for the elimination of the β‐OH group from the analogous CH₂C(CH₃)₂OH complex and related compounds. (Formula Presented.)
