Abstract
What is the best teaching approach for sixth-year medical students in their primary care clerkship? This article describes the planning, implementation and outcome of the new clerkship programmeme in the Technion Faculty of Medicine, Haifa, Israel. The new programmeme was based on problem-oriented learning, independent study in a structured curriculum, and ongoing feedback from tutors. Students' feedback demonstrated a positive impact of the new programme on understanding the unique clinical attitudes in the primary care setting of Family Medicine. This study will present the new programme, the students' reflections and their feedback.
