Abstract
Catalytic aerobic epoxidation of olefins by nanostructured amorphous CoO-MCM-41 was carried out. Ultrasonic decomposition of Co(CO)3NO in the presence of MCM-41 yielded a close-packed monolayer of cobalt oxide inside the pores. The CoO-MCM-41 composite catalyst was found to be efficient for the epoxidation of olefins under aerobic conditions.
