Abstract

The problem of intentional attack in scale-free networks was addressed. Focus was on the exact value of the critical fraction needed for disruption and the size of the remaining largest connected cluster. It was shown, both analytically and numerically, that scale-free networks are highly sensitive to sabotage of a small fraction of the sites.
