Abstract

Classical logic and intuitionistic logic take the view that anything follows from an inconsistency. Effectively, when inconsistency occurs in a database,it explodes. The semantics reinforces the nature of inconsistency - there is no classical or intuitionistic model for inconsistent data.In some systems, e.g., Labelled Deductive Systems lds-book-one, we can keep track of inconsistency and label exactly how contradictions are derived. This labelling allows us to execute different options for inconsistency.
