Abstract
Abraham Ibn Ezra was a pioneer of medieval Hebrew science, author of the first comprehensive set of Hebrew astrological textbooks. He became influential in the Latin West only decades after his death, when his works were translated in the 1290s. His two introductions to astrology, Reshit Ḥokhmah and Mishpeṭei ha-Mazzalot, were written to explain concepts common to the various branches of astrology addressed in more specifictreaties, but they also incorporate significant astronomical content.
