Abstract

TeX₄ (X = Cl, Br) brings aromatization of various unsaturated cyclohydrocarbons and halocyclohydrocarbons by dehydrogenation and dehydrohalogenation, respectively. In some of the cases studied the adducts formed by addition of TeCl₄ to the unsaturated hydrocarbons were isolated and identified.
