Arafat's Grand Strategy

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Argues that, for Yasir Arafat, the peace process in the Middle East has always been a strategic means to the substitution of a Palestinian state for the State of Israel. Arafat and the Palestinian Authority reinforce this strategy by indoctrinating Palestinians against Israel, Jews, and Judaism. Palestinians have been told the most outlandish stories of Israeli plots to ruin them. The PA has repeatedly referred to the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" in its propaganda; its media try to minimize the Holocaust. Religious preachers, too, have used their pulpits to instill hatred toward Israel and the Jews.
