Abstract
We show that, in a disordered two-dimensional system, the long-range intensity correlations of waves are much easier to observe than in a three-dimensional system with comparable disorder. Our new numerical results are capable of classifying the correlations according to the different orders in perturbation theory and are in quantitative agreement with the analytical results.
