Abstract
The energy dependence required of the CHN amplitudes by the Serpukhov data is studied. The behaviour of the singlet-even amplitude is found to have a break. There may be systematic errors in the new data, but it appears that the universal couplings provided by CHN, with essentially the same D/F found at lower energies for the baryon-even amplitude couplings, still provide a consistent interpretation.
