Abstract
The four-port analysis of switched-capacitor (SC) networks is reviewed. The method is based on classical network-theoretical concepts and lends itself well to closed-form analysis and computer techniques. The four-port indefinite admittance matrix of biphase SC networks is then briefly covered and extended to the analysis of multiphase SC networks. The concept of a link two-port (LTP) is extended to multiphase SC networks. The resulting link multi-port (LMP) is shown to provide valuable insights into the workings of multiphase SC networks. In particular, SC networks in which amplifiers, or even whole subfunctions, are multiplexed, can be treated as multiphase SC networks requiring the notion of the link multi-port.
