Abstract

The new version of the mean field theory suggested by Reynaud is applied to the study of the order‐disorder transition of binary alloys AxB1−x with arbitrary composition. In contrast to the usual methods the maximum of the critical temperature, as a function of x, does not occur at x = 0.5.
